I was asked how to add music to tumblr, I’ll write it here instead of through asks as it doesn’t leave much room for my babble.

I use scmplayer player because it’s handier, I find, and less complicated than other players.

You’ll find three wee tabs named choose skin, edit playlist, and configure settings.

On the choose skin you basically choose what you want it to look like.

On edit playlist you can copy/paste the youtube URL in the song URL option and give it a title (this will be the title that’ll show up on your blog).

Configure settings is where you can change settings to suit your preference. I only change autoplay because I like to force people to listen to my music muhaha :)

The click done. Now you’ll have that awkward HTML code. What you basically do is copy it and then open tumblr, go to customise theme and then edit HTML. Scroll to the bottom to find where it reads: </body> and paste your code here </html>.

And there you have it, m’dear!

Also, if you want to edit your playlist, add new songs or delete some, go to your html code that you just pasted and copy it. Go to the same website and click import profile and paste the code. This will allow you to edit it without having to start all over again. Continue as before but make sure you get rid of the old html code on your tumblr before pasting the new one.
