My cover of Concerning Hobbits so far.
I learned this tonight and by ear.
It’s literally only 40 seconds long.
“The Lord of the Rings” is the greatest trilogy, and it immortalized the name of its creator.
For the anon: my voice.
It’s shaky plus I’m trying to whisper and failing.
And sweet lordy oh I loath thee.
And then I end up signing Misty Mountains from the hobbit…AND manage to get the words wrong from nerves >.> Yip
So many people, I’ve noticed, are worried about a third (The- I hate leaving it out) Hobbit film.
But I have to say that I am thoroughly excited and even more so impressed that Peter Jackson would, and has the inexplicable skill to, venture further into Tolkien’s world.
A lot of Ringers (and Tolkien fans in general) are apprehensive and I understand that; The Hobbit has been something that we’ve read, or have been read to, many years ago and, to put it frankly: It is our babies. Our sacred wee youngin.
But lets take a moment to enjoy this, I mean really relish in the fact that we get to experience Middle Earth again. I know we can reread Tolkien’s work but this is something new!
Nothing has been more invigorating in our fandom in a very long time, so lets saviour it. I trust Jackson entirely and I hope I get the chance to thank him some day.
I am ecstatic! I never want this to end and I would go to the ends of the earth to book my cinema ticket again and again. For as many years as it takes.
